JUNE 21, 2011 - 10 Day Voyage
Begin in Copenhagen and cruise to Berlin, Vizby, St. Petersburg, Helsinki and more. Cruise will disembark in Stockholm.
Truly a most compact Northern European voyage, this cruise concentrates on the larger jewels of the Baltic Sea, many of them capitals such as elegant Helsinki, your very first stop. An overnight stay in St. Petersburg leaves plenty of time to explore the beloved artistic and cultural heart of Russia before departing for Estonia's ancient capital of Tallinn. While its medieval past is certainly evident within the Old Town, be sure to venture farther and perhaps stroll the nature trail in the Botanical Garden. The second half of this voyage begins with the enchanting Latvian capital of Riga. While known for its remarkable Art Nouveau architecture, many earlier buildings are also quite noteworthy, especially Riga Castle on the meandering Daugava River. Denmark's charming Ronne, a new port, distinguishes itself with an easy-to-walk Old Town and and island museum with natural history and seafaring collections. Another treat is the opportunity to experience Berlin and landmarks such as the poignant Brandenburg Gate and the Berlin Wall.
